i cant believe xavier is already 2 months old! haha i guess i will be saying this every month! it is going by so fast. i didnt get a chance to take any pictures of him on his 2 month birthday(i know, im a bad mom!). he had his doctor appt. that day and got 3 shots! needless to say that when we got home he wasnt in the best of moods and i just needed to comfort him. the photos here are just of him close to his 2 month birthday!
ok, so lets see what xavier is like now!
* he is very vocal. he will coo and coo when he is happy. it is the most awesome sound. he still laughs in his sleep and very recently we have noticed that he is having slight laughs when he is happy. or when im talking to him he will make noises back and sometimes it sounds like a laugh.
* xavier still loves to be swaddled! jeremy takes him into the bedroom and swaddles him on our bed and xavier LOVES it! he smiles and coos when jeremy is doing it. its really cute!
* he is a strong little guy. we hold him up so he can stand and does so very well. sometimes when he is standing i sit him down and he gets pissy and so i stand him back up and he is happy again. haha its funny!
* he really loves his baby einstein playmat gym thingy. he kicks the toys and hits them and they make noises and it makes him happy!
* xavier loves bath time! he likes to kick and move his arms in the water. its pretty cute.
* his cry has changed. sometimes it sounds so sad.
* xavier really doesnt like tummy time. he will be good for a couple of minutes and then it turns into this:
im sure there are more things, he changes everyday. sometimes i just look at him and see that he has gotten bigger and it breaks my heart that he wont be this way forever. but i take advantage of this time and love on him as much as i can. i mean, how can you not? look at his face:

That's funny that Xavier doesn't like it when you sit him down after he's been standing. You should post a video of that!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it weird to hear your child's cry change? Maizie had a cry for only a very short time that Emily and I actually liked, as odd as that may sound. It was a cute cry.
Maizie was completely the same way with tummy time. She's gotten a lot better, and I imagine Xavier has too since it's been a little while since you posted this.
Isn't it so sad to see how much bigger your child is? I look at old pictures of Maizie and miss how small she was! Maybe that's why some people end up having so many kids :)

ReplyDeleteyeah the cries are weird. when xavier got shots, that night his cry sounded so sad and you could totally tell he wasnt feeling the best. and i look back and there is this video of xavier shortly after coming home from the hospital and he looks so skinny. almost sickly compared to how he is now! hahaa
how long did it take for her to get better. i try everyday and he is only good for a few minutes. but now he is attempting to roll over so i guess those few minutes do something. ??
i think the same thing about people having more than one kid. hahahha
